Mandarin Brings List To 27 Teams

We picked up our 27th schedule this morning with Mandarin’s list coming in. We now have a majority of the Duval County Public School teams (including Westside, which has been a partial list thus far and will be profiled when complete).

As for the Mustangs, new events on their calendar include the Bobcat Duals at Buchholz on December 22, the Bierbaum Invitational IBT event on the first weekend of January (an event that has traditionally coincided with the Gateway Conference meet, but not the case this season), and Ed White’s Commander Duals event on the second weekend of January. That gets Mandarin some new looks.

Returning events for the Mustangs this season are the Optimist Invitational season-kickoff IBT at Terry Parker on the weekend of Week 1, the Neptune Duals single-day event on the Saturday of Week 2 at Fletcher, Parker Duals at Terry Parker in the final weekend of January, Clay’s Rotary tournament in Green Cove Springs on the first weekend of February, and  of course Gateway in the middle of January.

Mandarin has one midweek event, and that one wraps up the regular season for the Mustangs, as they’ll host Englewood for their Senior Night on February 8.

27 in the fold, and our number of needed schedules has dropped into the teens. Who’s going to be 28??

I covered wrestling for 15 years up north and "retired" in 2011. But as I thought I had in 1992, I couldn't stay away. Started Northeast Florida Matmen in 2013, Northwest Florida Matmen in 2015. New initiative this year is to create a space on my sites where ALL Florida results can be stored, searched, reviewed and used by my readers, with NO COST TO THEM.
