Schedule Updates

Even if your team has submitted its schedule already, we know there are always changes. Make sure our list is fully up-to-date, because if we don’t know, we might miss out on covering you.

By way of example: I’ve been alerted that St. Cloud’s dual tournament is now going by the name of the Milton-Winter Duals, and have changed references to other, earlier names in both the master schedule and the posts I wrote earlier for Middleburg, Columbia and Buchholz.

We emailed all of the coaches yesterday (that is now going to be a weekly thing on Mondays from now until the end of the season). We have 29 schedules in hand and there are a few teams/coaches from which I have not heard anything yet: Atlantic Coast (I’ve been advised there is a new coach), Stanton (strange since my son goes there, perhaps not strange because my son doesn’t want to wrestle — sigh), FSDB, Fernandina Beach, West Nassau, Eastside and Interlachen.

I’d like to see more middle-school schedules as well, but as was the case last year, I have to treat middle-school schedules (and results) on an as-received basis. Every story can be commented on by viewers that may have information useful on that front.

I covered wrestling for 15 years up north and "retired" in 2011. But as I thought I had in 1992, I couldn't stay away. Started Northeast Florida Matmen in 2013, Northwest Florida Matmen in 2015. New initiative this year is to create a space on my sites where ALL Florida results can be stored, searched, reviewed and used by my readers, with NO COST TO THEM.
