Joshua Fox (University Christian ’12) is once again just one match from being a starter for Ohio State this coming season.
According to Fox’s brother, Zach, the fifth-year senior won his first-round wrestleoff contested today in the Buckeyes’ room and will compete in the final wrestleoffs scheduled one week from tonight.
Joshua Fox decisioned true freshman Kevin Snyder (younger brother of 2016 Rio Olympics FS gold medalist Kyle Snyder, who’ll be contending at heavyweight for the Buckeyes this year) by a 6-0 count in the 197-pound wrestleoff contested today.
Fox, a three-time academic all-Big Ten Conference selection for the Buckeyes and holder of a 17-22 career record at Ohio State, will face redshirt freshman Kollin Moore a week from tonight at OSU’s French Fieldhouse. Moore was a 2016 Junior World Team member this past summer, participating in open competitions as a true freshman in 2015-16.
Wrestleoffs a week from tonight will start at 7:45 p.m. OSU begins its regular season on November 5.
More #NextLevel updates, for all of our Matmen-area college wrestlers, will be posted as wrestleoffs are scheduled.
