Lennon Was Right

Life is what happens to you when you are busy making other plans. And plenty of life threw itself at me tonight.

My car is in Mandarin, I am in San Marco. Something (alternator? starter? selenoid?) is not allowing my battery to hold a charge, and the kind folks at AutoZone there did what they could, but it wasn’t enough to resuscitate my car enough even to get it to a Tire Kingdom or a Firestone.

So there it sits and at this point all I am certain of — between the time it will take to diagnose and fix the vehicle and figuring out how paying for the fix will be done — is that it will be quite impossible for me to cover any wrestling on Saturday.

If anyone out in the community owns a tow truck, and can help me, I would be grateful — to the point of free advertising whenever. If anyone can repair my vehicle for cheaper and quicker than Tire Kingdom or Firestone, I would be grateful.

Any help can and would be appreciated. I will write up all tournaments — assuming I get complete results, and the only two that I had otherwise intended to make appearances at were Kiwanis tonight and Fletcher tomorrow. With regret, I will be able to make neither of those now. Right now, I’m just wanting to be able to get to go my Christmas party tomorrow night. To get myself and my son to church tomorrow, and myself to work on Monday.

Thanks in advance for your patience on this. I am grateful for that, too.

I covered wrestling for 15 years up north and "retired" in 2011. But as I thought I had in 1992, I couldn't stay away. Started Northeast Florida Matmen in 2013, Northwest Florida Matmen in 2015. New initiative this year is to create a space on my sites where ALL Florida results can be stored, searched, reviewed and used by my readers, with NO COST TO THEM.
