Name: Cayse Clouse.
School and grade: Allen D. Nease, senior.
As a manager: Matmen has noticed Clouse’s work ethic for the past three seasons at events where Nease has competed. She has been, effectively, the lead manager for at least the past two years, handling scoring, event administration and both basic and advanced tasks for the coaches with flawless efficiency.
What was it that got you interested in managing?: “I used to wrestle when I was younger.”
Why did you stay with it?: “I gained a new family.”
Favorite food: chicken.
Favorite restaurant: Buffalo Wild Wings.
Favorite TV show: Catfish.
Favorite movie: Deadpool.
Favorite subject in school: Anatomy.
Favorite college/university: Florida State University.
Favorite wrestler: Sean Arnold.
Favorite athlete (non-wrestler): Dak Prescott.
Best tournament/dual experience: “One of the other managers and I were talking, and I commented on how jacked one of the 170s from another school was, and she thought I said ‘Indian’ and his name was ‘Jacked.’ We went back and forth for five minutes going, ‘Indian?’ ‘Jacked.’ ‘Indian???’ ‘JACKED’.”
Favorite thing about managing: “Meeting all the new amazing people.”
Least favorite thing about managing: “Early mornings, but I know I will miss them.”
Something we think we know about wrestlers but we really don’t is: “Some of them are actually really smart.”
When not running this sport, I am most likely… : At the beach with friends, or asleep.
Coach Craig Muckle on Clouse: “Cayse is a wild child, but she works hard. I have had Cayse for three years and she has been dedicated to the team! I have a great team of managers, and she is the senior of the group.”
Parent: Heather Minger, Ponte Vedra.

The #WeRunThisSport feature, we hope, will be a recurring feature through the end of the season in the second week of March, and we want to spotlight YOUR hardest-working managers. Have a nomination you’d like us to spotlight? Drop us a line at nefloridamatmen@gmail.com with your nomination. Thank you for your support!

I covered wrestling for 15 years up north and "retired" in 2011. But as I thought I had in 1992, I couldn't stay away. Started Northeast Florida Matmen in 2013, Northwest Florida Matmen in 2015. New initiative this year is to create a space on my sites where ALL Florida results can be stored, searched, reviewed and used by my readers, with NO COST TO THEM.
