Michael DeAugustino is the Northeast Florida Pacesetter for the week of February 6-11.

Northeast Florida Pacesetter

Name: Michael DeAugustino
School, grade & weight class: Flagler Palm Coast, junior, 120.
State ranking: #2 in Class 3A at 120.
Accomplishments: DeAugustino is a two-time state placer, finishing second at 120 at the 2016 3A state tournament. This year, his only losses are to Osceola’s Malyke Hines (at the Osceola Knockout Christmas Classic between Christmas and New Year’s) and Thompson ALA’s Gabe Hixenbaugh (at Border Wars the first weekend of the season).
Favorite food: Chicken wings.
Favorite restaurant: Golden Corral.
Favorite TV show: The Walking Dead.
Favorite movie: Step Brothers.
Favorite subject in school: Science.
Favorite college/university: Duke University.
Favorite wrestler: Jesse Delgado.
Favorite athlete (non-wrestler): Antonio Brown.
Best tournament/dual experience: Going 14-0 at Disney Duals last summer.
Favorite thing about wrestling: The bond I have with all of my teammates.
Least favorite thing about wrestling: The day before weigh-ins.
When I’m not wrestling, I am most likely… : Eating or out on the water somewhere.
Coach Tom Bartolotta on DeAugustino: “He has been an excellent role model this year. He sacrifices for the team and has a vision about bringing a state championship back to Flagler Palm Coast. He excels in the classroom and teaches the kids to work outside of practice as well. (He does) extra runs during the weekend and evenings.”
