First 17-18 Schedule IN: Orange Park

A new first schedule for the north Florida region (East or West) has come in for this year! Orange Park posted its schedule on its Facebook page, and I just happened to see it.

The Raiders will be at the following dual events this year: North Florida Duals at Bishop Snyder on December 2nd, hosting their own 6-Way dual event on Friday the 6th, at Buchholz’s two-day dual tournament on the 15th and 16th, the Kissimmee Sports Association’s Pre-Holiday dual event between the days of the 18th-20th, and closing out December with the Bob Jordan Duals at Fleming Island, which is serving as the St Johns River Conference tournament as well, on the 22nd and 23rd.

Orange Park will travel to region rival Creekside for the Knights’ Midway 6-Way on January 6 and will see its first IBT at Lincoln’s Trojan Invitational on the 13th (with region duals a possibility on the 9th and 11th).  State duals are scheduled (statewide) on the 19th and 20th, and the Raiders will wrap up January at North Bay Haven’s two-day Bash dual tournament on the 26th and 27th.

In February, Orange Park will be at the Westside Duals on the 3rd and will compete in what is for now a triangular at Nease, along with Ponte Vedra, on the 6th. Districts are still set to be completed by the third Saturday of the month, with regions on the final week of February and states the first weekend of March.

So there’s our first! May 5th. Who will be NEXT??

I covered wrestling for 15 years up north and "retired" in 2011. But as I thought I had in 1992, I couldn't stay away. Started Northeast Florida Matmen in 2013, Northwest Florida Matmen in 2015. New initiative this year is to create a space on my sites where ALL Florida results can be stored, searched, reviewed and used by my readers, with NO COST TO THEM.
