There’ll be perhaps others, post-Disney and in July, and I would guess. But this is the last group of photos from “camp week.”
Looks like all four Disney divisions will begin on Monday (Trackwrestling has dates of today through Wednesday, but I was advised by River City Wrestling Factory that they’re not wrestling until Monday. Still, I’ll check later).
Near as I can tell, there are 38 Florida teams competing in the four divisions, with nine and perhaps 10 Matmen teams in the mix. Gonna be a busy week. How busy? Well, you’ll just have to check back here on Monday and see…
In actual competition over the weekend, rising freshman Matthew Rodriquez (see below) was 3-1 at the Kids of Chaos Summer Nationals event at Jefferson College in Hillsboro, MO, competing in Bracket C in the 14-under age group. Rodriquez had three first-period falls (1:02 over Brickhouse Elite’s Garrett Smith, :53 over Francis Howell’s Jonathan Roberts and an untimed fall over Belton’s Antonio Rizzi, taking only a 6-0 loss to champion James Howell of Rockwood Limbergh).
