Jazz Town Duals

NIceville’s Zach Hartzog, competing for Warehouse Wrestling Academy, attempts to assert control during Warehouse’s weekend at the Jazz Town Duals in New Orleans last weekend. Warehouse was the top north Florida team in the 30-team field, taking seventh place overall (Photo submitted by Debby Carroll to Monsta Wrestling Club via Facebook).

I’m posting what I have from Jazz Town. Which is, as of now, Saturday’s pool results. I know Warehouse WC, which is Travis Laxton’s club and had wrestlers from Niceville and Columbia and perhaps Suwannee (among others, I don’t have a roster) finished seventh in the 30-team event on Sunday. I know Clay was ninth. I didn’t know where CWC (a team comprised mostly, though perhaps not exclusively, of Tate and Pace wrestlers) finished, but later found out they were 14th.

In part, this is due to the Jazz Town website showing up as “expired” when I tried to call it up this morning. Shows me for thinking I had time until Monday, because the brackets I saw on that site did not have scores, plus there were three consolation pools where I thought there would be scores available later today.

So I will post the Saturday pool results I typed up last night. Those follow below. I have an inquiry out about a really great photo that was posted to one of the teams’ Facebook pages, and will post that when I get that answered.

Great event, by all accounts. Doesn’t handle results in a very media-friendly way, though. Sadly, that’s not surprising.

I covered wrestling for 15 years up north and "retired" in 2011. But as I thought I had in 1992, I couldn't stay away. Started Northeast Florida Matmen in 2013, Northwest Florida Matmen in 2015. New initiative this year is to create a space on my sites where ALL Florida results can be stored, searched, reviewed and used by my readers, with NO COST TO THEM.
