In a letter dated Thursday of this week (August 10), Lincoln wrestling coach Mike Crowder was notified that he and four other members, present or past, of the Florida Athletic Coaches Association had been selected to that body’s Hall of Fame.

Crowder will be inducted with the other four honorees at an induction ceremony and luncheon held at the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort at noon on January 6, 2018.

Crowder’s Lincoln team has won eight consecutive district championships and regained its place atop the 2A-Region 1 table in late February of last season.

A list of the other four honorees for this year’s Hall of Fame class was not immediately available at press time.

I covered wrestling for 15 years up north and "retired" in 2011. But as I thought I had in 1992, I couldn't stay away. Started Northeast Florida Matmen in 2013, Northwest Florida Matmen in 2015. New initiative this year is to create a space on my sites where ALL Florida results can be stored, searched, reviewed and used by my readers, with NO COST TO THEM.
