#Schedules19-20: Union Is In, 23 TO GO

We are up to our 63rd schedule thus far.

We’ve been working with Patrickk McDonald for a few seasons now. We are pleased to continue to do so now that he has started up an independent team at Union County (which we are going to refer to here as Union). It is the second of two independent schedules we will get this season.

UCH Graffiti Final

The Tigers will begin the season with a midweek home dual with Palatka on December 5; as of now, Union will then have nearly two weeks off from the competitive mats, when it will go to Yulee for the two-day Yulee Duals on December 20-21. After Christmas, the Tigers will go to Gainesville for an event McDonald created, the Category 5 Duals, on December 27-28. After that, Union will break for the new year.

January won’t offer a long respite though, as the Tigers will travel to Fleming Island for the two-day Keystone Memorial on January 3-4. After that tournament, Union will have three home duals, against a still-TBD opponent on January 9 (watch our Dates space for updates on that), then hosting FSDB on the 14th and Baker County on the 17th. The Tigers will travel to Inverness for Citrus’ one-day IBT, the Ed Kilpatrick Classic, on the 18th. They’ll go to Orange Park for the Raiders’ midweek duals tournament, the Orange Park Duals, on the 22nd, and will wrap up the month with a home Senior Night dual against Bradford on the 24th, a Friday night.

In February, Union will go to Belleview for its two-day Diamondback Duals on the 7th and 8th, and will conclude its season with a trip to Villages on the 15th for the TD Talbott Legion Duals.

So. That’s 63 schedules. We are getting close (just need one more) to three-quarters complete. We need more. We could use YOUR SCHOOL’S SCHEDULE. Question is…WHO’S NEXT???

Find us on Facebook at North Florida Matmen or on Twitter at @NorthFLAMatmen. We want your schedules for the 2019-20 season. Head coaches SHOULD email them to our work email.

I covered wrestling for 15 years up north and "retired" in both 1992 and again in 2011. But I couldn't stay away. Started Northeast Florida Matmen in 2013, Northwest Florida Matmen in 2015. We combined those sites into North Florida Matmen in the summer of 2018. And, we've started South Georgia Matmen in November of 2018. Our work is never paywalled, our content is searchable for all time. We're here because the kids keep lacing 'em up, so we'll keep writing 'em up.
