#Schedules19-20: Milton Is In, 22 TO GO

We are up to our 64th schedule thus far.

Today’s schedule was waiting for me in my inbox when I got in this morning, and considering it came from the Central-time Panhandle, that’s pretty early indeed for you folks out there. Today’s schedule is from Milton; we now have half of the schedules for 2A-District 1 (4 out of 8).

The Panthers have shifted the site’s Opening Night! Milton is the first team to be competing on December 3, as it will go to WS Neal HS in Alabama to face the hosts and Baldwin Cty, two Alabama teams. The Panthers then will go to district rival Tate, along with fellow district rival Choctaw, for an away midweek tri on the 5th, and will have their first home date with a midweek dual on the 9th against TR Miller, another Alabama-based team. Milton’s first tournament will be the Gulf Breeze Duals one-day tournament on the 14th, and the Panthers will close out the month at district rival Ft Walton Beach’s two-day duals tournament, the Beast on the Beach, on the 20th and 21st. After that, Milton will break for the holidays.

January will begin with the 2A-District 1 dual tournament, which we now have a host for. Pace will be the venue on the 7th, with the potential for Region 1 duals on the 16th — at the District 1 champ — and state duals on the 24th and 25th at Osceola HS. Milton’s next regular-season event will be an away Friday-night tri-meet at TR Miller, along with fellow Alabama team Satsuma, on the 10th. The Panthers will host Pace in the home half of a home-and-home dual on the 15th and will stage its Senior Night with a home tri-meet on the 22nd against Tate and WS Neal (ALA). Milton concludes the month with a trip to area rival Bay and its inaugural two-day IBT, the George Milligan Invitational, on the 24th and 25th.

Milton has just one date set for February, as the Panthers will travel to Pace for the away half of its home-and-home with the Patriots, on the 11th.

So. That’s 64 schedules. We are at the three-quarters mark for a complete list. We need more. We could use YOUR SCHOOL’S SCHEDULE. Question is…WHO’S NEXT???

Find us on Facebook at North Florida Matmen or on Twitter at @NorthFLAMatmen. We want your schedules for the 2019-20 season. Head coaches SHOULD email them to our work email.

I covered wrestling for 15 years up north and "retired" in both 1992 and again in 2011. But I couldn't stay away. Started Northeast Florida Matmen in 2013, Northwest Florida Matmen in 2015. We combined those sites into North Florida Matmen in the summer of 2018. And, we've started South Georgia Matmen in November of 2018. Our work is never paywalled, our content is searchable for all time. We're here because the kids keep lacing 'em up, so we'll keep writing 'em up.
